The theme of the forum was "Developing the Yak Dairy Industry, Promoting Accurate Poverty Alleviation in Gannan, and Realizing the Green Rise of Tibetan Areas". Through keynote speeches and cross-border dialogues, the forum discussed the new direction of the future development of the yak milk industry and sought to promote the domestic yak milk industry Countermeasures for international trade development, brand cultivation, and guiding consumption of plateau-specific products.

The forum was hosted by the People ’s Government of Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Gannan Industry and Information Commission, Gansu Provincial Department of Agriculture and Animal Husbandry, Gansu Food and Drug Administration, Gansu Provincial Quality and Technical Supervision Bureau, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture Economic and Information Technology Commission, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Bureau, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture Food and Drug Administration, Gannan Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture Quality Supervision Bureau, Gansu Liaoyuan Dairy Group undertook. The development of the characteristic yak milk industry is an important means to promote the development of animal husbandry in Tibetan areas and improve the quality of life of Tibetan people. It has opened up ideas for the healthy development of China's dairy industry and the promotion of China's dairy industry to the world. Experts believe that for the further development of China's yak milk industry, it is necessary to do a good job in the deep processing of yak milk and increase the value of commodities. At the same time, we must promote scientific breeding, rely on scientific and technological forces, and constantly innovate to guide the healthy development of the industry.

At the meeting, Gannan Prefecture was awarded the honorary title of "China's Yak Milk Capital" by the China Dairy Industry Association. Since then, Gannan State has become one of China's three major milk capitals; Gansu Liaoyuan Dairy Group has been awarded "China's Yak Milk Pioneer" Honorary title, at the same time held a ceremony for awarding the medal.

On the afternoon of the forum, the experts and scholars visited Gansu Liaoyuan Dairy Group, and witnessed the development of Liaoyuan Dairy for more than 50 years. After the visit, experts and scholars at the meeting expressed high recognition for Liaoyuan Dairy's strong group strength and industrial scale.
