On May 10, BASF updated the production schedule of the citral plant and downstream products. The original text stated that from the end of April, BASF's factory in Ludwigshafen successfully produced the first batch of citral and is now gradually starting the production of downstream products. The timetable shows that for animal nutrition products vitamins A and E, production preparations have been started in early May, and supplies are scheduled to resume in mid-June. AD3 products are ready for production in July, and plans to resume supply in mid-August. However, the start-up and production process of the citral value chain is more complicated, and there are differences in the recovery of various products, production, packaging and transportation. All products will continue to be affected by force majeure until BASF can stably produce and establish sufficient stock. Before BASF officially lifts force majeure, all products will be distributed in a fair and reasonable manner according to the contract, and BASF will provide more information about the force majeure cancellation as soon as possible.
Brief analysis: With the gradual recovery of production at the BASF plant, the supply of VA tends to improve. At present, the VA (1 million IU) in the European market has been adjusted back to 115-135 euros / kg. Today, domestic quotations are mostly in the range of 750-850 yuan / kg, and the market price is expected to return rationally.
